Be clear about what you expect from them

Post by Bappy10 »

What do you get when you put 7 teenagers in 3 teams together in a room for 36 hours with a few laptops, cola and candy? Many people will now think: chaos and mess! Or in other words, how do you ensure that when you enter into co-creation with young people, you actually achieve results? Below are 5 tips.

During #36hours we worked with an oral and a written briefing. This briefing stated brother cell phone list what they had to deliver. Namely a creative solution for the question: "How can you familiarize young people with claiming back taxes?". They had to deliver this at least in a sketchy way during a presentation, almost 36 hours later than the start. By giving them a serious and practical assignment, of which they themselves are the target group, you give them the feeling that their ideas are valuable.

2. Give them brackets, not frames
In order to stimulate creativity as much as possible, we kept the briefing very short and powerful. We described the introduction (problem/figures), target group, message, assignment and some short boundary conditions in less than 1 A4. If you give young people complete freedom, they will flutter too much and you also run the risk of little result. But if you impose too heavy frameworks, they will again look too much at impossibilities. So look for a good balance.
