During the first day of presentations and discussion panels at the 33rd Digital Economy and Telecommunications Meeting, organised by AMETIC , the employers' association of the digital industry in Spain, the CEO of LG Electronics Iberia made a firm statement of intent to all those attending the event held in Santander.

The director has pointed out the urgent need to take care of humanity's most precious asset, the planet, and fight against climate change. Jaime de Jaraíz has launched a proposal to the heads of the technology companies present at the event: to plant 47 million trees a year in Spain , one for each inhabitant of the country.

Companies must also lead the fight against climate change. It is estimated that we have 4,320argentina phone number days left to reach the point of no return and we cannot wait for the Administrations to make decisions, but we must all get involved #Santander33

LG Electronics has been focusing much of its efforts on reforestation for some time, a project that began with the planting of 500 trees, a milestone that was not considered sufficient and that increased in numbers over time, reaching 1.5 million trees reforested in the province of Guadalajara with the help of the company CO2 Revolution and its drones. Now, the company is looking to recruit followers to achieve its laudable goal within the framework of the " Smart Green " challenge. "Trees are the most efficient technology to reduce CO2," said the president of LG in Spain and Portugal during his speech.

The director has also sounded the alarm based on discouraging data, such as the disappearance of 150 species every day, or the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, which currently exceeds 400 particles per million, something that has not occurred for 3 million years.

In this way, de Jaráiz has made clear the immense power of technology to fight against this sad reality, which, according to scientists, will reach the point of no return in just 4,320 days.
